Connected Roots

Integrated Therapeutic Mentoring for Young People, Families & Professionals

Rooted in trauma-informed and attachment-based practice, Connected Roots helps young people and families rebuild trust and emotional safety.

Drawing on Dyadic Developmental Practice (DDP) and over two decades of mental health experience, we work with schools, Alternative Learning Provisions, and local authorities to create environments where connection becomes the foundation for growth.

Connected Roots: Integrated Therapeutic Mentoring (ITM) is a trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming framework that unites peer mentoring, therapeutic intervention, and clinical consultancy for young people

Coordinated through Wild Rose Therapy and Coaching, the programme brings together a trusted network of clinicians, therapists, and mentors across Dorset. Under Registered Mental Health Practitioner-led clinical governance, the team provides consistent, relational support that bridges education, mental health, and family systems.

The initiative grew from a shared recognition that young people and families are often held by fragmented services that rarely speak the same language. Our team was established to change that.
We are practitioners who have worked across health, education, and social care, and we understand how disconnection impacts both students and staff.

Through this collaborative framework, Wild Rose coordinates a clinically governed team able to respond quickly, hold complexity safely, and deliver reflective, relationship-centred care.

When we connect the roots, growth becomes possible again — for young people, their families, and the professionals around them.
